The Government’s focus on apprenticeships represents a really good opportunity for employers to recruit motivated and talented young people, who could develop into really productive contributors to the organisation’s IT staff.
The only criteria is that you are a bona fide business. Size does not matter, so you can be anything form a single employee business to a multi-national PLC.
Advantages to your business
You only pay them £3.70 per hour for their first year as an apprentice
You may be eligible for a £1000 incentive for every apprentice you employ
Apprentices trained with us can quickly become effective
Cameo’s training programmes are entirely focused on delivering IT skills which can include:
Networking, TCP/IP, Routers, Bridges, Switches
Microsoft Office suite
Apprentices must be treated as any other employee. That means they must have a contract of employment stating pay, working hours, holiday entitlement and any other key information.
They should be given an induction into their role and must be supported through on-the-job training. You will be expected to nominate a “mentor,” who will ensure your apprentices are given guidance on the job you expect them to perform.
