Now that you have committed to employing your apprentice you will need to ensure that you have the following in place:
Conditions of Service
Ensure your apprentice has a contract of employment. This need to cover conditions of work such as hours, pay and holiday entitlement.
You will also need to agree a start date and sign contracts with apprentice and provider (Cameo)
Appoint a mentor
Apprenticeships combine high quality classroom training with workplace experience. The job of the mentor is to guide the apprentice throughout their programme and ensure that they are able to put into practice the knowledge and skills they have learned in the classroom.
